It seems an appropriate time
to give credit to the man who got Irving involved in the competition in
the first place, Andy Lancaster. Andy is the man who, on his own
initiative created the interest, formed the team, trained it's members,
held practices and tryouts, got the support of the Fire Dept., purchased
the equipment, and organized the trip. He spends a substantial amount of
his own time and money for this event every year, and the members of the
team all seem to agree that a large part of the credit and
congratulations belong to him. Andy has been instrumental in the success
of not only the Irving Mule Team, but Irving Fire Department's High
Angle Rescue Team as well. Andy, Many Thanks and Congratulations. Your
dedication is appreciated. |
