POLITICAL DIRECTOR

Mark has served with the Irving Fire Department for over 10 years and currently holds the rank of firefighter/paramedic. He started his career with the United States Forest Service and was part of a national resource team based in Idaho for three years. He also holds a certification as a SCOTT 3M SCBA service technician. Mark has called Irving his home for over 20 years since aLending the University of Dallas in the early 2000’s, and lives here with his wife of 12 years and five children.

BATTALION 1 TRUSTEE

David started his fire service career in 1998 and has been a firefighter with Irving Fire Department for 23 years. He became a member of the Irving Professional Firefighters Association as a rookie, seeing the benefits of working together to protect and defend our safety and interests. David serves as a Captain at Station 3 on B-shift, enjoying the excitement and challenges of a multi-company firehouse. He and his wife, Lisa, have recently become empty nesters in East Texas, after raising their two daughters. David is an active member of the Irving Pipes and Drums as a bagpiper and currently holds the position as Station 3 Stewart and Battalion 1 Trustee within the IPFFA. These positions give him a great opportunity to help improve morale, communication, and participation with all the active members of the IPFFA.

Bobby Johnson

BATTALION 2 TRUSTEE

Bobby has been a member of the fire service and the IAFF for over 15 years. He has been an active member of the E-Board for 4 years. Currently, he proudly serves the citizens of Irving as the rank of Lieutenant, assigned to Station 6 as the B-Shift EMS Supervisor. He spent 12 years protecting the citizens on the NW side when he was assigned to Truck 7, C-Shift. Bobby is a product of Irving, growing up in Irving his whole life and graduating from MacArthur High School in 2004. Go Cards! His positions within the IPFFA include Battalion 2 Trustee and Social Media Coordinator. Bobby is proud to serve his city, his local, and his department.

ALARM OFFICE & ADMIN TRUSTEE

Chris has been a member of the fire department for over 6 years and has served as a trustee for the last 3 years. He holds the rank of firefighter and has Swift Water Rescue and Hazardous Materials certifications. He is also the Chairman of the Charity Initiatives Committee, which is responsible for our largest fundraising event each year: “Fill The Boot” for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Chris is proud to be a part of the Local and looks forward to continuing his service with the IFD and IPFFA.

FIRE PREVENTION TRUSTEE

Kimberly has been a member of the Irving Fire Department since 2018. She is a Fire Prevention Specialist in the Prevention Division and is currently assigned to be the Fire Safety Educator for the city. She often collaborates with other members of IFD to promote and execute our Community Risk Reduction Plan. Kimberly graduated with a BA and MA in Military History from UNT.

Jonathan Hall

CHAPLAIN

Jonathan has been with IFD for the last 9 years. He currently fills the position of Swing Lieutenant up north on C-Shift. He has spent the last 3 years serving as the Chaplain for the fire department. He also holds positions on both the Finance and Benevolence Committees with the IPFFA. He has been married to his wife, Lauren, for over 12 years. They have five-year-old twins, Boone and Lyla, with a third on the way.

Why do we have a Chaplain?
To meet emotional and spiritual needs of IFD members and families
To prepare the department through CISM training for crisis events
To conduct CISM interventions after traumatic events
To promote the well-being of our members
CISM = Critical Incident Stress Management
What does the Chaplain do?
The Chaplain is here to assist fire department members and their families in times of crisis events. The Chaplain will:
Provide basic counseling
Provide CISM assistance
Perform hospital visits for members and their families
Provide spiritual guidance when requested
Be a listening ear and a caring friend
